The Dr. Robert McNiel Educational Fund was established in 2024. This fund is in honor of Dr. McNiel's dedication to the KNLA, having devoted more than 50 years to the organization as an educational advisor. A silent auction is held during the KNLA summer event with all proceeds going directly into the Dr. Robert McNiel Educational Fund. 

The intent of this fund is to assist currently enrolled horticultural students cover specific costs associated with traveling to and attending KNLA official events.
