The Kentucky Nursery and Landscape Association caters specifically to the needs of landscape professionals in Kentucky. Founded in 1926, the mission of the association reads:
Our primary goal as a network of professional nursery growers, landscapers, garden centers and others interested in horticulture, is to provide educational opportunities to members as well as support in terms of public knowledge of what we do. From our inception we have been dedicated to promoting the professional standards of our industry, and continue as a recognizable symbol of quality to our colleagues and the consumers we serve.
As a professional organization, the KNLA works hard to help educate its’ members on a variety of relevant issues such as plant materials, applicable federal and state industry regulations, and labor and management topics.
The KNLA host two trade shows each year that provide CEUs for pesticide application, Landscape Architects, and Arborists. These trade shows also allow for introduction of area vendors that supply landscape professionals with everything from mulch and other hard materials to plants, equipment, and tools. Members receive discounted admission for these shows.
Most important, the KNLA gives members the forum to gain information, secure reliable vendors, and find valuable business advice from industry leaders, agriculture educators, and landscape professionals. It’s through this network that we gain immeasurable benefits for our business.
